It had to be...

The Yankees are down 1 run in the 9th. Mientkiewicz and Melky both got out against Ray to start the 9th.

I'm then thinking "Cano will single. Jeter will single. Abreu will walk. And that will bring up A-Rod."

Well, Cano singled. Jeter walked. Abreu got hit by a pitch. And A-Rod is batting right now. A-Rod homered in the first inning, and doubled later on.

When the game is on the line he....A-Rod GRAND SLAM!

I LOVE A-ROD!!!!!

I'll tell you though, I wanted him up then, just so he could start getting over this mental thing of his. The first pitch was a ball, and I was thinking if he can get to a 2-0 count he'll win this thing. The next pitch was borderline, it was called a strike despite the fact the same location was a ball for Igawa earlier in the game. At that point I'm not sure what'll happen. The next pitch ARod swung and missed to make the count 1-2. Not even fouled off, completely swung and missed. At this point I was sure he would fail.

I was wrong.
