Video Analysis

Minor/independent leaguer Carlos Gomez has an interesting video analysis of Mark Mulder. This is the kind of thing that teams certainly have access to, but us fans rarely get to see. Sometimes TV broadcasters try to do this kind of stuff in a broadcast, but it's usually such a high-level overview that it's pretty worthless.

To be honest, I still have trouble seeing some of the things actual experts see, but it's still a lot of fun to watch the three videos side-by-side in slow motion.

That is very interesting - I wonder if there were any signs of that "hitch" late in 2004 that led the A's to decide to trade him instead of Zito. If so, then, well... Walt Jocketty needs better advanced scouts.

I'd love to see an analysis like that for Matt Clement, pre- and post- whining himself onto the 2005 all-star team.
