More Phillie Mistakes

I've been on the Phillies-Braves game, maybe 1 minute tonight, during breaks of the Yankees-Devil Rays game, when I'm not on the Mets-Pirates game. I've seen two plays in the game and both included horrible plays by the Phillies. This one was with them in the field. Chipper hits a ball up the middle. Chase Utley goes to second base to turn the double play. Evidently Edgar Renteria had reached first base on a Mike Lieberthal error. The problem with Utley going to second base, was the ball was hit on the second base side. He needed to field the ball, not go to the base.

Instead of the Braves turning two, Chipper gets a hit, and Renteria goes to third. Renteria ends up scoring now giving the Braves a 3-2 lead.

The Phillies have now given up a run, and gave away one.
