How does a team get to be 7 games up in April?

The Braves and the Phillies are tied for second in the NL East at 9-14. That record would put them last in the AL East (even behind Tampa Bay), last in the AL Central (if you don't count the Royals, which you shouldn't), last in the AL West, second to last in the NL Central (behind five teams), and second to last in the NL West.

There are only three teams in the other five divisions that have a worse record than the Braves and Philles. And the Nationals and Marlins are even worse.

Still, the Mets have plenty of time to blow it.
