Hideki Matsui, comedic genius

If you haven't yet heard this story, you have to read it. Aparently Hideki Matsui had a serious girlfriend, but he only told his close family about her. This spring, Derek Jeter and Bobby Abreu made a bet about who would get married first, and Matsui talked his way into the bet. Well, lo and behold, Matsui leaves spring training for a day and comes back married, much to the surprise of the entire team. Here's Matsui showing a picture of his new bride to the media:

I love that the microphone is right in front of her face, but my favorite thing about the entire story is this quote about how he won the bet:

"Basically, the only people I told about this were the immediate family. I think that helped."

That kills me for some reaon.
