The Scranton Rotation

I talked before the season how one of the great Yankee strengths for the year was their AAA rotation. They had 5 guys who could be ML ready, and could maybe even rival the worst of the ML rotations.

That rotation that I was talking about was:

Phillip Hughes
Humberto Sanchez
Jeff Karstens
Ross Ohlendorf
Darrell Rasner

All five of these starters currently reside on the Disabled List. Ouch. Literally.

The Trenton rotation is definitely the better of them now, with Joba Chamberlain and Ian Kennedy joining 22-year old Jeff Marquez (8-3, 2.64, 2004 Supplemental Pick), 24-year old Alan Horne (6-3, 2.50, 11th round, 2005), and 23-year old Brett Smith (5-2, 1.75 ERA, 2nd round 2004).
