K-Rod cheating?

Does this get any attention if not for the Kenny Rogers incidents in the playoffs last year? Maybe, but MLB is investigating Francisco Rodriguez for doctoring the ball during two appearances against the Rangers this week. The link has some good still shots, although I haven't seen any video yet.

How many pitchers are actually doing this? And according to reports, the Rangers didn't file a complaint with the league office, so how did MLB get wise to this? Could they have possibly found out from the blog entry? It'll be fascinating to see how this unfolds.
