2007 Predictions

So I don't have ample explanations like Ross does, but I have a fancy spreadsheet! Here goes:

My big surprise is obviously Texas, but far be it from me to bet against a team the year after Buck Showalter's tenure ended. I don't think anything else is too crazy - I wanted to put the Rays ahead of the Orioles, but their pitching is just brutal. Ross, feel free to double-check my math, but it was accurate a few minor updates ago; it may be off by a game or two.

Quick and dirty playoff and awards predictions below before I hit the road to see Elijah Dukes take Pavano deep in his MLB debut tomorrow.

Red Sox 3, Indians 2
Phillies 3, Padres 1
Mets 3, Cardinals 2

Rangers 4, Red Sox 2

I think Sowers and Hamels used up their rookie eligibility last year.

Oh. Well then... I guess I'll go with Delmon Young and Jason Hirsch. That's what I get for leaving it until the last minute...
