Sox add a lefty

The Red Sox aparently decided that they need a lefty in the bullpen for the Yankee series, so they sent down Manny Delcarmen, who was being buried by Francona so that Seanez and Tavares could continue to give up runs, and called up Mike Holtz.

Yay. At least Delcarmen will actually get to pitch in Pawtucket. Calling him up to let him rot in the big league pen was practically Bairdian (and he's reportedly getting fired today, mercifully).

Is it just me or does it seem that each time the Yankees and Red Sox play the Red Sox make a roster move right before hand?

It's not just you - they do. I don't even know what to say, other than if you need a lefty, don't wait until the Yankee series to call one up. Sign a friggin' good one in the off-season.
