Mitch Jones???

Bernie just grimaced as he went into second base with a 1st inning double against the Mets. Joe Torre and the trainer went out to check on Bernie and left him in the game. Of course the Yankees just called up their 8th outfield option in Mitch Jones (batting .231 in Columbus) today as Bubba Crosby went on the DL. It's a good thing that Interleague play is starting as the Yankees don't have enough people to have a decent DH anymore.

The Yankees have the entire Columbus Clippers outfield in the Major Leagues already.

Yanks jump out to an early 4-0 lead, only for Randy to cough up three runs in the bottom of the first. Gonzalez just went 1-2-3 in the top of the second, and my MLB.tv feed is finally working. Good times.

Kaz Matsui of all people ties it up at six in the bottom of the fifth with an RBI single.
