2006 Win Probability Added

Jumping on the bandwagon of a hot new-ish stat, I've been following the Sox Watch blog for a nice little running tracker of the Red Sox Win Probability Added for this season. In layman's terms, they're following the timeline of every game and tracking the moments and plays where each team and player either increased or decreased the team's chance of winning, and by what percentage (it's explained better by the Hardball Times). It's far from a bulletproof measure of a player's value, but it's interesting nonetheless, despite the ugliness of last night's shellacking by Cleveland.
